Strothers, sheriff of King George Co., VA" OLD SOUTHERN BIBLE RECORDS compiled by Mary Aldridge Lester</p><p><p></p></p><p>In 1678 Anthony Savage deeded 300 acres from his Mongoheocala tract to Francis and Alice (Savage) Thornton with revision to his granddaughter Margaret Thornton. On 1 Aug 1727, she, as widow of Wm Strother, conveyed same 300 acres to her son Wm Strother Jr. (except for one-half acre for burying ground, including the graves therein). On the same day, 1 Aug. 1727, she deeded to her son Francis, of Hanover County, certain slaves, with reversion to her grandson, William Strother
