KILLED IN ACCIDENT Arthur Schweir was killed early Tuesday morning when a gasoline transport truck of which he was relief driver, overturned, near El Dorado. W. C. Hasenbank undertaker went after the body and brought it to Alma and after its preparation for burial took it to the home of his parents near Wamego. Short services in charge of the Rev O.J. Krueger, at the home Thursday at 1 o'clock and funeral at Evangelical church in Alma this Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Arthur was 21 years of age single and made his home with his parents east of Wamego on highway 40. The deceased was a model young man of high ideals. Interment in Evangelical cemetery at Alma. Harry A. Peters companion driver of the truck, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Peters of Alma was at the time of the accident asleep in the rear compartment. He suffered a broken leg. OBITUARY - SCHWEIR Arthur Schweir was born April 8, 1912, in Kaw Township, Wabaunsee County, Kansas. He was baptized May 4, 1912 in the Evangelical church at Wells Creek. He was confirmed on April 4, 1926, in the Zion Lutheran Church at Wamego. He attend Wamego High School . At the time of his death he was 24 years, 5 months and 14 days old. He leaves to mourn his sudden departure his grief stricken parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Schweir of Wamego, his fiance, Miss Mildred Kitchener of Wamego, four sisters, Mrs. John Hasenbank of Alma, Mrs. Otto Bark of Rock Island, IL, Mrs. Henry Martin of Belvue, and Mrs. George Armburst of McFarland, two brothers, Henry of Belvue and John of the home, fifteen nieces and nephews , a host of aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Arthur was always a good student at school a good son ion the home. He was a n honest and upright young man loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed in his large circle of acquaintances. Funeral services were held Thursday September 24 at one o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Evangelical church in Alma, with the Rev O.J. Kreuger in charge. He was laid to rest in Alma cemetery. The pall bearers where six cousins: Ed Pageler, Albert Pageler, William Sauer, and Henry Hupe of Belvue, Carl Hupe of Wamego and George Hupe of Perry, KS.
