| Sterbenachricht Elise Nordhoff Deaths Mrs. Elise Nordhoff Ms. Elise Nordhoff, aged 82 years, widow of the late Christian Nordhof, died yesterday morning on Langford Bay, Kent County, Md. Death was due to old age. Ms. Nordhoff was born in Germany and came to this country about 50 years ago in a sailboat. At one time shr was engaged in the embroidery business and became very proficient in the art. Places of her works won prizes at the Maryland Institute. The body will he brought to her city residence, 616 North Avenue Carollton. The funeral arrangements were not yet made. Ms. Nordhoff is survived by four sons (William and Otto C. Nordhoff, of this city, and Herman A. and Henry Nordhoff, of Buffalo. NY) and one daughter (Mrs. Bertha D. | Last Will and Testament Christian NORDHOFF In the name of God Amen. I, Christian Nordhoff of the city of Baltimore in the state of Maryland, being in perfect health of body and of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of time thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs when it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say: Principally, I commit my soul into the hands of the Almighty God and my body to the earth, to be decently buried and after my funeral expenses are paid, I give, devise and bequeath to my dear beloved wife Elisa NORDHOFF, all the cash money, stocks, goods and chattels, which at the time of my death I shall possess. All my other property and particularly my house in West Baltimore Street known as No. 502, I give and bequeath to my wife during the time of her natural life or as long as she shall remain unmarried and in case she should marry again or after her decease, I give, devise and bequeath my said property unto my children, to be divided among them in equal portions, share and share alike. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my dear wife, Elise to be the executrix of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. Daher veröffentliche ich dies mein letzter Wille und Testament in folgender Art und Weise: Grundsätzlich übergebe ich meine Seele in die Hände des allmächtigen Gottes und mein Körper der Erde und verlange, dass ich anständig begraben werde und nachdem die Kosten meiner Bestattung gezahlt sind, überlasse ich meiner geliebten Ehefrau Elisa Nordhoff, sämtliches Bargeld, Vorräte, Hab und Gut, die ich zum Zeitpunkt meines Todes besitze. Alle meine anderen Sachen und vor allem mein Haus in West Baltimore Street Nr. 502 vermache ich meiner Frau auf die Dauer ihres natürlichen Lebens und solange sie unverheiratet bleibt. Für den Fall, dass sie sich wieder verheiratet oder nach ihrem Tod, soll mein Eigentum an meine Kindern gleichmässig und gerecht verteilt werden. Hiermit benenne ich meine liebe Ehefrau Elise als Vollstreckerin dieses Testaments und erkläre alle früheren von mir gemachten Testamente als ungültig wobei ich gleichzeitig bestätige, dass dies und kein anderer letzter Wille und Testament existiert. Im Zeugnis dessen habe ich meine Unterschrift und Siegel an diesem Tag, dem neunten [9.] Februar 1875 geleistet. Gez. Chr. | Elise Nordhoff Die Unterzeichnete Elise Nordhoff, von dem in Baltimore verstorbenen Christian Nordhoff benannte Vollstreckerin des letzten Willens und Testaments und als Vollstreckerin handelnd, verzichte hiermit auf alle meine Rechte und dem gemäss Testament mir zustehenden Nachlass den ich besitze oder besitzen könnte und ersuche hiermit das Gericht meinen Sohn Otto C. Nordhoff zum Administrator E.T.A. [Vollstrecker] des Testaments zu ernennen. Zeuge Samuel Duenne, die Kinder des verstorbenen Christian Nordhoff, erklären sich damit einverstanden.
