Notes for this person

BIOGRAPHIE: Leopold PRITZL family - by Corrine BARTA BEITZEL on 4/3/89 From what Aunt Frances tells me, Grandpa Pritzl (Leopold) was born on a farm in Bavaria. He had a sister, Aunt Francie NASTIE. Leopold also had a brother who was a priest in Straubing. My Aunt Sophia Geiger's son, Leroy, was in the service and on Nov. 12, 1951 went to visit the home place. Auntie Francie Nastie was there and they had a grand time. He had to do some traveling, but as he writes, when he got to ESCHLKAM, he met a German man and asked where the Pritzl farm was, and they walked along a muddy road for about 3/4 hour. Then a fork in the road to the Franz Pritzl Jr. home. His wifes name was Katie. Auntie Francie or Tanta was there. Franz Sr. came in and had a time getting straight who Leroy was but Tanta straightened him out. My mother and Aunts sent them pictures and food for many years and Tanta had all those pictures etc.. She had one of my wedding pictures and asked if I had a good man. Leroy said as best he could, "he's a swell guy". He talked of Franz BRANDL who was Grandpa Pritzl sisters son-in- law. Leroy says there were pictures of Grandpa Pritzl's brothers and sisters, but no names. Mother and Dad were the greatest. Dad's been gone 20 years and Mom 4 years. She had such good times in California with Bernard and Katherine. I did go with her one year and they took us riding around one whole day. They are lovely people.
