Im Kirchenbuch Kleinbodungen wird die Karnmühle als Mahl- und Ölmühle bezeichnet. Ihr Besitzer Andreas Rothe stirbt am 3.1.1641, seine Witwe Juliane am 29.1.1653. Im gleichen Jahre beginntein Prozeß seines Schwiegersohnes Hans Mieler oo Elisabeth Rothe, dem Karnmüller gegen die "Rothischen Miterben". Friedrich Rothe, Chritoph Rothe, Georg Nebelung, Hans Bechmann und LorenzSeidensticker, der durch mehrere Instanzen läuft, denn am 19.10.1653 gibt die Universität Helmstedt ein Gutachten dazu ab.
