Margaretta Buechner, born 31 Jan 1845 in Kirrweiler, Pfalz, Bavaria (Germany), (daughter of George "Joseph" Buechner and Dorothea Schmitt) baptized 2 Feb 1845 in Catholic Church, Kirrweiler, Pfalz, Bavaria (Germany), immigrated 1865 from Germany to the United States, died 6 Apr 1919 at home, 5519 Alaska Av., St. Louis, St. Louis Co. Missouri, buried 9 Apr 1919 in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
The 1900 Missouri Census says that she bore 8 children but only 4 were alive then. She attended St. Cecilia Catholic Church. In her later years, Margaret always walked to the grocery wearing a blackshawl, heading down the alley. She died of hemiplegia (paralyzed on one side of the body, probably a stroke)
She married 18 Jun 1867 at S.S. Peter & Paul's Church, St. Louis, Missouri by F.
