William Hudgens was the son of John Hudgens, born in McMinn Co. East
Tenn. May 9, 1784. Came from E. TN to Washington Co. KY near the headwaters of
Green River and married 1st Susannah Tucker June 18, 1810. she was b. in
Ambrose Co. VA, Oct 23, 1792, d. Phelps Co. MO, Sep. 1, 1836. a.43-10-8. Came
to Pulaski Co. now Phelps Co. MO in 1833, and settled in Beaver Creek. 2nd
married Catherine Pausell, Nov. 13, 1842, b. Green Co. E. TN Sep 9, 1797.
