Somerset Co., son of Ned and KatherineM. (Thomas) Hemminger. Preceded in death by parents; stepfather, MichaelShaffer, and wife, former Esther June Lehman, on Oct.9, 1988. Survived bythese children: Allen married to Lou Ann (Lambert) Ketner, HollsoppleR.D.2; and Jenny, wife of Scot L. Cruickshank, Johnstown; grand children,Lisa Holben, Scott and Heather Hemminger and Caitlin and Sean Ian "LittleJoe" Cruickshank; also one great grand daughter, Briana Holben. Brotherof Ernest Hemminger, Central City R.D., and Marlin Shaffer, married toRosann Dull, Jennerstown. Member of Benscreek Evangelical LuthernChurch, near Thomas Mills, where he was custodian for many years. Also amember of Machinist Union and New Centerville farmers and ThreshermensAssociation. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Retired auto bodyrepairman. Friends received fron 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday atHoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.
