However, the information in this book are derived from research thatUriah Dickens did in the middle of the 19th century from oralinformation as well as corresponding with several members of theDickens family. A lot of this information therefore could range backto the 1750s and should not be ignored completely. William Dickens died in Sussex in 1765, therefore did not come toAmerica with his sons Joseph and William.
