Notes for this person
These are the most reliable information about the Dow family. Othergenealogies have different ancestors as well as dates, but need to beignored. Joseph was a farmer. The birth order of the children of Joseph andNaomi is uncertain, and the list may be incomplete. Sanborn, GeorgeF., Jr., "Joseph Dow's Second Wife, and the Byfield Crew, N.H.Genealogical Record, (Oct 1990), p. 177 and Jan 1991. pp. 39-43. Hunt("History of Hampton," p. 35) incorrectly identifies Joseph's fatheras Samuel DOW (#13, Dow's History), and he incorrectly states Joseph'sd.o.b. as 10 Feb 1721.
