Quentin under the new law of 1673, recorded his Coat of ArmswiththeLordLyon King of Arms, Edinburgh. They had been engraved ontheGimmetCastlewalls for three centuries. His will dated 2 Aug 1694.andprobatedJanuary5, 1699. It mentioned a niece, the daughterofWilliamCunningham, and hisnephews, the young sons of John McIlvaneofGrimmet,to whom he willedUpper Grimmet but in a codicil he declaredthathe nolonger owned it,having been sold to pay debts and fines.
