She lived most of her life in Sioux City and only moved to Naperville in the last twoyears because of physical concerns.<br><br>Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturdayat Wesley United Methodist Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. David Morris officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. A luncheon will be served after the burial at the church. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.<br><br>Maxine was born September 1, 1913, in Sioux City, the daughter of Gladys and Eugene Denton. She graduated from Central High School. She received her cosmetology degree and operated her own beauty shop in Leeds, the Denton Beauty Shop. She married Fred Eugene Hagen onSept. 18, 1938. Upon selling the beauty shop, they purchased Hagen Truck Lines,where she worked for several years. Later, she worked at the Plaza Bowl in Sioux City. She loved to bowl and one year was the oldest woman at the Iowa State Women's Bowling Tournament. She was a member of the "600" Bowling Club, while having a career high of 248. She golfed, played bridge, sewed, knitted, crocheted and played the piano. After her retirement, she also took organ lessons. She was amember of Wesley United Methodist Church, a fifty-year member of Order of the Eastern Star Azure Chapter 540 and the General Federation of Women's Clubs. He also belonged to the "Vitamin 8 Club." Where else could you find a bigger bunch ofpills?<br><br>Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Hagen Wright of Naperville,Illinois; three grandchildren, Tracie Gutknecht of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Toni Leeof Naperville and Timothy Wright of Aurora, Illinois; and a great-grandchild, Brady Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Eugene Denton;and a sister, Delores Coles<br><br>Burial: 10 May 2003, Graceland Park Cemetery,Sioux City, Woodbury Co., Iowa
