Notes for this person
Susanna Adams (December 28, 1768 - February 4, 1770) was the second daughter of John Adams, the second President of the United States, and his First Lady, Abigail Adams. She was named after John's mother, Susanna Boylston Adams and called "Suky" by her father who adored her much. In a letter to Abigail on June 29, 1769, John made a request of Abigail, for "Suky": "Can't you contrive to go to Braintree to kiss my little Suky, for me?" The child, so loved by her parents, sadly, did not make it through her second winter and died a little over a month after her first birthday, February 4, 1770. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
