Gloria Ann BOWMAN

Gloria A. Wright, 88, of Wakarusa, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Goshen Hospital. Gloria was born on January 19, 1932 in Elkhart, IN to Frank Bowman and Madeline (Nye) Bowman. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Frank Bowman Jr in 2016. Gloria is survived by her sons, Bill (Teresa) Goodsene of Knightstown, IN and James “Jim” Goodsene of Goshen, IN; a sister, Marlene Couse of Nappanee, IN; 3 grandchildren, Lindsay, Jordyn and Shawn; and 5 great grandchildren. Gloria graduated from Elkhart High School. She was an administrative secretary at Bontrager’s Attorney at Law, Samaritan Center, Utilimaster, St. Joseph Valley Bank and Accra-Pac. Gloria was a member of Central Christian Church in Elkhart. Gloria was an avid reader. She loved all animals, especially cats. She enjoyed going to concerts particularly the band Rush and attending Indy Car races. Most of all, Gloria was a caring person, whom always put others before herself. Due to Covid 19 restrictions at the church, A Memorial Service to Celebrate Gloria’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor Doug Cripe of Central Christian Church officiating. A private burial of cremains will be at Rice Cemetery at a later date. Current Covid-19 restrictions including social distancing and mandatory face masks for those entering the funeral home, will be enforced.
