Mrs. Anna Baer, 78, wife of Jacob Baer, died at their home, 1200 Middlebury street, Elkhart, Ind., at 1 o'clock Monday morning (Jan. 1, 1934). The funeral will be held Wednesday. The service will be conducted at the home at 2:30 p. m. by the Rev. F. W. Lineberry of the First Methodist Protestant church, and burial will be at Grace Lawn cemetery. Mrs. Baer's death followed an illness six weeks from complications and the infirmities of age. Four years later, on Ang. 27, 1882, she was married to Mr. Baer, who is also a native of Germany. After living in Illinois for seven years, they returned to Elkhart, which has been their home ever since. Beside Mr. Baer there survive five children; three grandchildren; a brother, Phillip Wagner of Garden City, Kas., and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Nuding of Wauneta, Neb. The children are Henry W., Herman C. and Carl F. Baer, Mrs. W. C. (Emelia) Conley and Mrs. W. L. (Anna) Zuber, all of Elkhart. Two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Katherine) Borneman and Mrs. Ulrich (Christina) Hege, who were residents of Elkhart, preceded her in death.
