Granville Huff, son of John and Eleanor Ann Stewart Huff, was borninFlening County, Kentucky, on October 24, 1848 and passed away at theGreer Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa, where he had been apatient for almost 4 years, on March 10.1944, at the age of 95 years,4 months and 16 days.<br>When 21 years of age, heleft his native state and went to Illinois,then on January 6, 1870 he came to Iowa, where, except for briefperiods in Monona County, California and Texas, he hasresided in thevicinity of Little Sioux for 74 years.<br>On January 24, 1875, hewas married to Mary Josephine Ellis,daughterof Samuel Ellis, who preceded himindeath on April 20, 1924.To thisunion were born three children: Clarke W. of Santa Monica, CA;Clyde L. of Mercedes, Texas; and Ruth, wife of Ragland White ofLittleSioux, Iowa.<br>He united with the Methodist Chruch in his early life andwas afaithful worker as long as his health permitted. He was confined tohis roomfor the greater part of 8 years and to his bed for 3 years,before his death. His daily reading of the Bible that the Methodistladies gave him was a joy and comfort to him until his hands grew tooweak to hold it.<br>Besides three children,he is survived by 9 grandchildren, 8great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and many friends.<br>Services were held Monday afternoon at the Little Sioux MethodistChurch, Rev. J. D. Payne officiating, assisted by Rev. Ralph Michael.A quartet,the Messenger Boys, Earl Shephard and Glen King, with Mrs.Will Hardt accompanying sang Rock of Ages
