GEBURT: Ihr Geburtsdatum liegt später als das bekannte Sterbedatum des Vaters!!! Es gibt aber keinen anderen John Chris, der auch noch 1914 59 Jahre alt sein konnte!? Aha, der Fehler war, das John Christian das Sterbedatum seiner Frau Christine zugeordnet wurde in Macarow.ged!!! John Chris. heiratete 1910 seine Nichte Anna, was anfangs nicht ganz klar war. Laut Indes des U.S. Staatsarchives sei sie in Bettendorf, Scott County, Iowa geboren.

EHE: vor einigen Jahren fand ich bei familysearch.org die Trauung einer Madeleine Schmiers mit einem Lester Bunge, die ich nicht zuordnen konnte, weil Angaben über die Brauteltern fehlten. Ich startete bei Ancestry.com ein separates Projekt für Lester Bunge und diese Madaline. Darauf meldete sich ein Nachkomme von Lester und gab mir weiter Details, so daß die Identität nun geklärt ist. Und die beiden Funde (Taufe von Madalene und Ehe von Madaline) zu ein und der selben Person gehören.

Madeline (Schmiers) Bunge is the 2nd child of John Christian Schmiers and Anna Barbara Wagner; Madeline's older brother, Anthony was born out of wedlock, he lists John Christian Schmiers as his biologic father, but was adopted by Patrick Doner (Dooner)and assumed the Doner surname. Madeline is still alive (97 years old) and lives independently in Bettendorf, Iowa. Anna Barbara and John Christian were married in Missouri...a relatively short drive from Burlington, Iowa. The marriage info for Anna Barbara and John Christian is available on Ancestry. com.

In Bettendorf lives very view SCHMIERS, but later. From age she could be a grandchild ofJohn Cristian. Only Matthew John, son of Joseph John, grandson of John Christian, is possibly a brother of Madleine and born 1913, has ever lived in Bettendorf as male Schmiers and died there. Todd Schmiers is born 1971 in Bettendorf as son of George Schmiers, who was born and died in Geneso, Illinois. George is son of Jack Joseph and Betty Hardesty, and grandson of Joseph John and Alta Almaur Fischer. a greatgrandson of John Christian. In no known census is a Madeleine findable as Schmiers-Daughter. So she is possible a woman with other parents. Withe her birthdate there is a "Zahlendreher"= "transposed digits" with 13. July and 31. July BUT there is a Madaline Barbara Schmiers Iowa Births and Christenings, 1830-1950 birth: 31 Jul 1914 Flint River Twp.,? West Burlington,? Des Moines,? Iowa christening: Des Moines,? Iowa Damit sollte das Rätsel um sie gelöst sein! Ihr Vater ist dann Joan Christian Schmiers und ihre Mutter Anna Barbara Wagner, die zweite Gattin John Christians.

I note that you have downloaded census data regarding Patrick James Doner (aka Dooner); I am curious as to if we might be related, as Patrick is my maternal grandfather? I also note that you have traced the lineage of Lester Bunge, who is my uncle (married to my maternal aunt, Madeline). I look forward to hearing from you.

I am research the family name SCHMIERS: I was searching about informations for Madeline Schmiers and a known marriage with Lester Bunge. I want to research the parents of this Madeline but found manymore about Lester Bunge. I want to know how Madeline fits to the other Schmiers.

Patrick James Doner was married with Anna Barbara Wagner. And Anna Barbara with John Christian Schmiers too as his second wife. But i'm searching for the marriage entries.

The marriage info for Anna Barbara and John Christian is available on Ancestry. com. I have acopy of the marriage license and church record of Anna Barbara Wagner and Patrick Doner. If there is any further information that I could provide you, I will be happy to do that. Also, all of Madeline's children (4) are still living in the Illinois/Iowa Quad Cities area. As you may have already found, it appears that prior to Anna Barbara and John Christian's marriage census data shows that the Wagner and Schmiers family were sharing a residence.
