She was born June 9, 1913 at rural Belvue, KS the daughter of Henry and Sadie Tyler Hupe. Rena Maude attended school in the Wells Creek area and graduated from high school at St Marys,KS. On Sept 22, 1931 at the Wells Creek Church, rural Belvue, she was married to Alve G. Pageler and they farmed for many years in the Wamego area until they moved to Wamego in 1980. Mr. Pageler preceded her in death April 11, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Orville, Argle, and John d Hupe. She was a member of the Wells Creek United Church of Christ, the Wamego Senior Center and the Auxiliary of the Black Jack American Legion Post No. 260 at St. George. Mrs. Pageler is survived by one daugher Reva Mae Eichem and husband Clarence, Wamego, three grandchilden; Peggy Stroup, Debbie Fath and Paul Eichem and six great-grandchildren; Misty and Mindy Pooler, Caleb Stroup, Joe and Jay Fath and Jacob Eichem. Mrs. Pageler will lie in state Monday 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for a visitation from 7:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday. the Pageler family suggests memorials to the Wells Creek United Church of Christ and they may be left with the Stewart Funeral Home.
