Obituary Robert Louis 'Bob' Lohmann Published 9-11-13 Enid News and Eagle ENID, Okla. - Funeral service for Robert Louis “Bob” Lohmann, 76, ofEnid, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at St. Paul’s LutheranChurch, with Pastor Kenneth Wade officiating. Cremation will followthe service under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Thefamily will receive friends 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Bob was the son of Theodore and Auguste Engelken Lohmann of Alva,Okla., and was born on the farm southeast of Alva on Feb. 14, 1937. Hewas reunited with his son, Jeff, on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013,surrounded by the love of his family. He attended Zion Lutheran School through the eighth grade and thengraduated from Alva High School in 1954. He attended NorthwesternState College of Alva, and then graduated from Oklahoma A&M College in1959, with a degree in agricultural education. He was a proudsupporter of the OSU “Posse” Club and a loyal Cowboy fan for the last56 years. Bob taught Vo-Ag in Greenfield and Dover. He was a manager of Perryand Newkirk Cooperatives. In 1970, Bob established Northwest VetSupply Inc. in Enid, Okla., which he owned and operated for over 40years. During this time, he became a founding member of a leadingnational animal health company, Agrilabs, serving on the board ofdirectors for over nine years. Bob was an active member of the Grand National Quail Club, serving inmany capacities including president and in 1998, inducted into the“Quail Club” Hall of Fame. Bob was a well-known supporter of the agricultural communitythroughout Garfield Co., and the state of Oklahoma. His involvementwith OSU extension programs, junior livestock shows and educationalmeetings strengthened our entire region. Bob was instrumental informing the Garfield County Livestock Boosters to raise monies for ouryouth. Bob received the only Man of the Year honor for all he haddone. Bob was very humbled to receive this honor. Although Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, ranching, golfing, OSU gamesand being at the cabin, most importantly, he loved spending time withhis family and friends. His grandchildren were the light of his life.Not only was he the best Dad and Gramps, he was a true friend to usall. Bob is survived by Delores Price; daughters, Joy Smith and husbandLarry of Enid, and Jill Westfahl and husband Al of Lahoma; sevengrandchildren, Cody Westfahl and wife Meredith of Enid, Miranda DeCookand husband Brian of Enid, Casie Vos and husband Andrew of Arcadia,Drake Smith and wife Liz of Enid, Dylan Smith and wife Stacie ofOwasso, Drew Smith and wife Chelsea of Oklahoma City, and Derek Smithof Oklahoma City; 10 great-grandchildren, Cooper and Charlee Westfahl,Lawson Lohmann DeCook, Ruger Vos, Colton and Hayden Johnson, SladeSmith, Macyn Smith Emery Smith and Daltan Smith; sisters, DorothyAnderson, Bernice Tyree and Charles Bird; brother, Harold; Delores’sdaughter, Raquel and husband Brian, grandsons Cameron and ConnorPletcher; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff; sisters, MargaretLarison, Gertrude Canaan and Velma Nordyke; in-laws, Wayde and ErmaLee Lyon; and Delores’s son, Chris Schmitz. Memorials may be made to the Garfield County Livestock Booster, withLadusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
