Marvin Nordyke, 75, Pagosa Springs, Colo. 06/07/06 A memorial graveside service for Marvin Nordyke, 75, will be heldSaturday, June 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery inAlva with Pastor M. Bersche officiating. Marvin was born December 30, 1930 in Alva to William and Jesse Nordykeand departed this life on June 2, 2006 at Durango, Colorado. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Velma, on December 23, 2003,his parents, three infant children, a brother, Bill Nordyke and asister, Joan Kubasta. Survivors include two sons: Marvin, Jr. of Pagosa Springs, Colorado,and Rusty and his wife, Dena, of Bowling Green, Missouri, foursisters: Addie Plesant of Peoria, Arizona, Rose and her husband,Harold Fox, of Peoria, Arizona, Josephine and her husband, Leon Rubartof Pottsboro, Texas and Della Fay and her husband, Al Houpy, ofMesquite, Texas. Three brother-in-laws: Fred Kubasta of Peoria,Arizona, Harold Lohmann of Alva, and Robert "Bob" Lohmann of Enid.Four sister-in-laws: Margaret Larison of Bartlesville, DorothyAnderson of Elk City, and Gertrude Canaan and Bernice Tyree both ofAlva, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family requests that memorials be given to the American HeartAssociation, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653 in lieu of flowers.
