Red Wing Daily Republican Eagle Tuesday May 31, 1949 Page 5, column 4 Mrs. Fred Kalir, 79, Red Wing Resident For 21 Years, Dies Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Klair, 79, wife of the late Fred Klair and RedWing resident since 1929, died at her home, 1339 Central Park Street,this morning. She had been in failing health for two years. Mrs. Klair was born near Goodhue October 6, 1869, and was married toFred Klair on March 25, 1891. The couple farmed in Belvidere Townshipuntil moving to Red Wing in 1929. Mr. Klair died in 1935. Surviving are two sons, Orrin of Red Wing and Raymond of Goodhue; twodaughters, Mrs. John Fitschen and Mrs. Henry Zemke, bothj of Red Wing,and 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Klair was a member oif St. John's Lutheran Church where funeralservices will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. the Rev. Gordon Radtkeofficiating. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Goodhue. Friends may call at the Edstrom Funeral Home Thursday and Fridayafternoon and evening until 9 o'clock and at the church Saturday from9 a.m. to the time of the services.
