Wilhelm Selbach, genannt Willi war Markscheider und kam aus der Gegend um Montabaur, Goldhausen (Westerwald Nähe Limburg) oder lebte zumindest dort als er verheiratet war. Er heiratete zunächst Maria Körner. Maria Körner wurde um 1870 geboren (+-15 Jahre) und starb vermutlich bei der Geburt Ihres vierten Kindes. Die Kinder hiessen: Hans Selbach, Gretel Selbach, Eleonare Selbach und Nathalie Selbach (gen. Talchen).
Hans und Gretel waren Zwillinge.
Nach dem Tod von Maria Körner heiratete Wilhlem Selbach seine Nichte, Maria Hillebrand. Maria Hillebrand wurde geboren am 4.10.1894 in Lünen,sie starb am 24.6.1982. Sie "übernahm" die vier Kinder von Wilhelm Selbach und Maria Körner. Eigene Kinder hatte sie nicht mit Wilhelm Selbach.
