Highland News Leader Tue, 15 Jul 1924: CAROLINE HIRSCH: Wife ofPhilip Hirsch a well known farmer living south of Highland, died lastTuesday in St. Joseph Hospital following an attack of gallstones, shewas 45-5-24. She was born 14 Jan 1879,nee Holzinger, on a farm nearHighland where she grew up. On 14 Jan 1901 she married Philip Hirsch.She is survived by her husband, three daughters; Mrs. Loretta{Theodore Samual} Beck of Greenville, Misses Viola and Delores, twosons; Norman and Delmar. One sister, Mrs. Henry {Mary} Rinderer ofHighland and a brother Ed east of town. Buried in St. Joseph Cem.
