Notes for this person
Nach der Volksschule besuchte er 4 Jahre lang das Stiftische Gymnasium in Düren. Machte eine Metzgerlehre und sollte den Elterlichen Betrieb übernehmen. 1939 bestand er als Soldat seine Meisterprüfung.
Zum zweiten Mal an die Ostfront kommandiert sarb er am 22.12.1942 in einem Gefecht bei Pariskaja - Kommuna durch Granatsplitter.
Gemäß Volksbund ist er vermutlich als unbekannter Soldat auf die Kriegsgräberstätte Rossoschka, Wolgograd, Rußland überführt worden. (Das wären allerdings mehr als 500 km Entfernung gewesen?)
Eingetragen ins Sterberegister des Amtes Echtz am 20.05.1943.
