Mae was the youngest child of Fredrick Frank and Maglena Pauline Rahorst Krull, she was one of four girls, had two brothers.She attended school at Sprague, Ne. and after marriage to Claude Ezra Holmes she livedin a number of places, mostly all in the state of Nebraska.Upon her marriage to Claude they moved to Missouri, near Butler and Clinton.After the death of her father, she and Claude moved to north central Nebraska, the sand hills country, there they ranched fora number of years.When World War II started, they moved to Scottsbluff, Ne., where Claudewas a mechanic and Mae become a secretary for a gas firm. They had five children, Ila Darlene Holmes Fay, Ethylmae Holmes Weeth Osborn, Tryon, Raymond Lee Holmes, Judith Pauline Holmes Stellpflug and Carole Ann Holmes Rein.

The children all finish school at Scottsbluff, Ne., and after the death of Claude, Mae married Delbert Francis (her cousin by her first marriage) on July 23, 1966 at Hot Springs, South Dakota.They made their home in Scottsbluff, Ne., upon the death of Delbert Mae moved to a retirement home in Gering, Ne.There she lived until her death in l994.

This is to Certify that Claude E. Holmes of Lincoln, Nebraska. and MaeKrull of Lincoln, Nebraska. were by me united in Marriage on the Eleventh day of April in the Year of our Lord 1926 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. C. J. Ringer, Pastor, St. John's Luth. Ch., witnessed by Mrs. C. J.Ringer.
