Kathleen Alice Krull, 83, of Holcombe, formerly of Peshtigo, passed away Feb 5, 2011, at the Ladysmith Nursing Home in Ladysmith.
She was born July 7, 1927, in Lily, WI, the daughter of Robert and Harrietta Gilray.
Kathleen graduated from Birnamwood High School in 1945. During high school she worked in the post office. Following high school, she workedin Washington, DC, under Herbert Hoover in the National Post Office until 1947. She then worked for Appleton Electric in Chicago doing accounting. In 1947, she also worked as an auditor for the former Employer's Mutual of Wausau (San Francisco, Chicago, and the home office in Wausau).
Kathleen married Dale Krull on Oct 9, 1948, in Birnamwood.
She belonged to EZ Duzit Homemaker's in Marinette County, Peshtigo Women's Club and Lake Holcombe Women's Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, knitting, reading and puzzles.
Kathleen is survived by four daughters and one son, Cheryl of Madison,Virginia (Steve) Boehmke of Shawano, Judy of Stratford, Roger of Frederick, MD, and Nancy (Paul) Augustine of Sheldon; 17 grandchildren, Sara (Eric) Brunk, Melissa (Lucas) Dant and Amanda Boehmke, Jeremy (Krista), Josh (Jessie), Jason (Jenny) and Jarred Bushmaker, Ryan, Nathaniel, Kimberlee, Rachel and Sophie Krull, Ben (Amanda), Adam (Elisha), Molly, Emily and Jenny Augustine; great-grandchildren, Clara, Stephen, Addison, Dane and Elin; and one brother, Robert Gilray; special friends, Art Leider of Marinette, Charlotte Begalke and Mary Anderson, both of Holcombe, and Catherine Smith of Cornell; penpal, Christopher Youngof Madison; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; two sons, Terrance andDennis; her parents; sisters, Bernadine, Mildred and Virginia; and brothers, Russell, Maurice and Oliver.
Interment at the Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.
