HENRY BROCKMAN
Henry Brockman was born near Hanover, Germany, on June 21, 1867. He came to America June 11, 1888, and made his home near Brunswick, Chariton Co., Mo., the rest of his life. He died at Woodland Hospital in Moberly, Mo. on June 14, 1951, age 83 years, 11 months and 23 days. On March 30, 1910 he married Miss Augusta Tatsch. To this union two daughters were born. Mrs. Ola (Louise) Huffman of Indian Grove, Mo. (P. O. Brunswick) and Mrs. H. A. Medlin, of 1005 Cherry St., Kansas City. He leaves four grandsons and one granddaughter and one great-grandson. Also one sister, Mrs. Rickie Hott of Mendon, Mo., and his wife. One grandson preceded him in death just one month ago.
He was a Lutheran until Nov. 4, 1918, when he and his wife united with the Indian Grove Christian Church.
He had been a farmer and lived in this community until March 1944 when they sold the farm and moved in Brunswick, where he lived until June 10, 1951 when taken to the hospital on account of ill health and where he passed away on Thursday morning.
On Saturday June 16 Rev. Thomas V. Crance of Springfield, Mo., preached the funeral and the body was buried in Indian Grove Cemetery. (Powell Cemetery)
