Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" RYAN

Journal: "Mary R. Brockman. Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Ryan

Brockman, 76, of 684 Zimmerman Lake Road died May 1, 1999, at

her home. A native of Alabama, she was daughter of the late

Elymus Levi and Bonnie Stockton Ryan. She graduated from North

Greenville Junior College and Spartanburg General Hospital School

of Nursing. She was a retired Home Health Nurse for Spartanburg

County Health Department after 25 years of service and Coordinator

for the Home Health Program. Prior to that, she was Wofford Col-

lege Campus Nurse for seven years. She was a member of the

Calvary Baptist Church since 1946. Survivors include her husband,

James H. Brockman; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth "Libba" Brockman

of Anderson; and a sister, [Roberta] Ryan of Spartanburg. The fam-

ily is at the home and will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 p.m. today

at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Services will follow at 4 p.m. in the

funeral chapel, conducted by the Revs. Lindsey Inman and William

Bolt. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of

flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 577

N. Church St., Spartanburg, 29303."
