ARTHUR John KIELER

Arthur John Kieler was born on February 4, 1894, in Paris Township, Grant County, Wisconsin, son of Frank and Margareth (Koethe) Kieler. Arthur Kieler married Elizabeth Dorothea Loeffelholz on May 16, 1916, at Kieler, Wisconsin. Elizabeth Loeffelholz, who was called "Lizzie," was born on February 11, 1897, in Kieler, Wisconsin, daughter of George Adam and Mathilda Sophia (Kirchberg) Loeffelholz. Arthur and Elizabeth Kieler lived in Paris Township, Grant County, Wisconsin. Arthur and Lizzie Kieler had four children, Irene Kieler, Lester Kieler, Orpha Kieler, and Arthur Kieler.

Arthur Kieler, age 35, passed away at his home in Kieler, Wisconsin, Monday morning, February 18, 1929, at 10:35 o'clock, after a brief illness. Being a devout Catholic, a member of the Immaculate Conception Church at Kieler, he was comforted in his last hour by the rites of that religion. The funeral was held from the residence at 9 o'clock to the Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler an hour later, Wednesday, February 20. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.

He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth; four children, Orfie, Irene, Lester, and Arthur; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Lange, of Kieler, Wis., and Mrs. Frank Kuhl, of Hazel Green, Wis.; and two brothers, Charles Kieler, of Kieler, Wis., and Edward Kieler, of Hazel Green, Wis. His mother died a month ago.
