George A CALL

George A. Call, D.D.S., 78, a long-time Torrington Wyo. dentist died at the Community Hospital in Torrington on Tuesday, Jan 1, 1980. Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan 4 at the United Presbyterian Church in Torrington with Rev. W. Darrell Holmes officiating. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. Call was born Jul 6, 1901 in Afton where he spent his boyhood and was a member of the Star Valley High School graduating class of 1919. Later he received his degree from the Chicago College of Dental Surgery at Loyola University and started a dental practice in Torrington in 1927. On Aug 9, 1928 he married Mildred Kellam at Rapid City, S.D. She preceded him in death in 1963. He later married Edyth Bliss in California in 1964. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Torrington and served in many high civic positions in the community. Survivors include his wife, Edyth of Torrington; two daughters, Mrs Phyllis Bohanan of Sterling, Colo.; and Mrs Miriam Brarby of Gillette, Wyo.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
