Seth was in the Harvard class of 1687 and was ordained on 1 3 Oct 1697, Danbury, Connecticut. (ref: Colonial Clergy, p g 187; Torrey, pg 672). History of Danbury: The first minister in this town was Rev. Mr. Shove, a very pious and worthy man, who was very succ essful in his exertions for the promotion of peace, virtue, and true religion, so that the general peace and union in his time are proverbial in this day [1896].
