Francis V. Weisend, 60, 8644 Jackson Town Road, Newark, formerly of

Summerfield, died Sunday in Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville. He was born July 21, 1929 near Lewisville, a son of the late Alex and Christina Burkhart Weisend. He was a retired farmer and heavyequipment operator of Central Ohio Coal Co., Cumberland a member of St. Mary Catholic Church at Fulda, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his first wife,Mary Agnes Ritterbeck Wisend. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Kirkbride Feldner Weisend; a son, Duane of Summerfield; two daughters, Diann Jennings of New Carlisle, and Mrs., Stephen (Darlene)KiIbum of Lewisville; three stepsons, Dale, Melvyn and Mark Feklner, all of Caldwell; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Doug (Alice) Bond of Cakiweu; a brother,

Arthur of Newark; three sisters, Alberta Rauch of Newark, Mrs., Robert (Helen) Lumbatis of St. Paris, and Mrs. Steve (Ann) Lumbatis of Nashport; eight grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren.

Friends will be received, 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Pm. Tuesday, at the BrubachWatters Funeral Home, Summer field. Mass of Christian Burial wilt be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesdayat the St. Mary Catholic Church, Fulda with Monsignor Frank Baudo and Mike Madden officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery. Fulda, with full military graveside services.Rosary devotions will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home.
