William Frederick Muller, 88, of Summerfield, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Born in Englewood, New Jersey he entered the US Navy and proudly served during WWII. He then moved to Michigan and attended Michigan State University and graduated with degrees in Agricultural Education and Resource Development. He worked for Michigan State University for 35 years as Cooperative Extension Director in Pontiac, MI and a District Horticultural Agent for SE Michigan.
Bill moved from Waterford, MI to Summerfield, FL in 1997. HE was an avid sportsman and enjoyed golf and gardening. He organized the Garden Club at Spruce Creek Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lois Muller; daughter, Stacey Muller, San Francisco, CA; sons, Stephen Muller, Ortonville, MI, Stuart Muller(Eileen), Gloucester, MA; stepdaughter, Leigh Anne LaRose (Tony), Muskegon, MI; stepson, Kris Howard, Columbus, OH and 5 grandchildren.
Memorial services and interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, Florida. Online sentiments may be made at hiers-baxley.com
