Adrienne Staib died Monday, June 16, 2003 at Kingston Hospital. She was 80 years old.

She was born November 13, 1922 in the Bronx. She was the daughter of Henry D. and Lydia Sehlmeyer Kolb. On June 27, 1942 she married George Staib who died January 19, 1999.

During World War II, she worked for Hamlin Radio, a manufacturer for the Navy. She also worked for Housewares Manufacturing in Tivoli as a seamstress. She worked as a cook at Ward Manor in Tivoli and as a housekeeper for Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson and Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.

She was a member of the Quarryville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by twoi sons, Edward of Saugerties and John of Claverack, NY; two daughters, Margaret Lasher of Bou Mountain and Linda Staib of Engelwood, FL; two brothers, Henry Kolb of Ocala, FL and Robert Kolb of Old Tappan, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Edward, Cynthia, Brian and Tommy; and three great grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda and Thomas.

A procession will form 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, and then proceed to Quarryville United Methodist Church where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be held. Rev. Linda McEarthron, Pastor of Quarryville United Methodist , will officiate.

Friends may call Friday, 7-9 p.m. at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Quarryville United Methodist Church.
