I was blessed June 3, 1880 and was baptized by Wilford E. Cragun, 23 January 1888 and was confirmed by Wilson Cragun, February 2, 1888.</p><p> I received my early schooling under W. G. Cragun. My first Primary teachers were the two sisters Eliza P. Rhees and Elizabeth B. Rhees. My first Sunday School teachers were Lillian Ferrin and Lillian Rose. I was ordained a Teacher February 7, 1897 and first went teaching with Thomas Budge and Marshall Rice. I was ordained Elder by Scot Campbell, December 1900. Ordained a Seventy by David E. Randall, February 20, 1905 and later called into the presidency and remained there until 1928 when I was ordained High Priest, March 25, 1928 by H.H. Goddard. Set apart for a mission to California by George F. Richard, October 9, 1928. </p><p> I was married to Annie May Budge, June 26, 1901 by JohnRex Wender at the Salt lake Temple. Bis this union nine children were born, Paul B., Francis May, Edna Lucile, Earl B., Lewis B., Ruth, Weldon B., Margaret and Lou Jean.</p><p> In 1906 we moved to Acequia, Idaho where we resided until 1913 when we returned to Pleasant View. While in Idaho helped organize Sunday School and was president of the Branch at Acequia for several years. Led the Rupert Band for six years. Won first prize over all Idaho Bands. Boys presented me with a clarinet. Took the band to Hailey Idaho on fourth of July celebration, had all expenses paid for three days andreceived $200 besides. </p><p> Built three good houses besides several shacks for homesteading. Drilled deep wells through lava rock at each homestead. Helped dig several wells at Cape Holley lake and Whittle Lake for the government to drain the lakes. </p><p> Helped build Shoshone Dam and Minadoka Dam. Cleared sage from 2 eighty acre tracks of land and one forty acre track. I and Brother Daviscontracted building canals around above Acequia. Made $10 a day in the excavation of dirt and lost it all in blasting ledges of rock.</p><p> Was chosen chorister of Pleasant View Sunday School in 1900 and have conducted singing for over 40 years here and in Idaho. </p><p> I have sent four boys on missions. 1921, Paul to Australia; 1929, Earl to England; 1933, Lewis to California; 1937, Weldon to Southern States. I went on a mission to California in 1928.</p><p> I have been a veil worker at the Salt Lake Temple since about 1925. I was set apart as ordinance Temple Worker by Nicholas G Smith, June 7, 1938. I was assistant superintendent of Acequia Sunday School from 1908 to 1910 when I was called to preside over the branch which I held until 1913 when I returned to Utah. I was also chorester.</p><p> I received my early education in the old Pleasant View Meeting House under my uncle W.G. Cragun, I attended the Weber Academy under Louis F. Moench, also attend the B.Y.U. academy at Logan, Utah. I studied singing under H. S. Goddard and Charles Kent.</p><p> I have helped develop water all through Pleasant View and North Ogden, and have dug 50 to 75 wells and drains.</p><p> In 1903 I went with Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir on a trip to California. We visited the Pacific Grove, Santa Cruise, Palate Golden Gate and many leading parts. We went with the Ogden Tabernacle Choir to the Lewis and Clark Exposition to Portland in 1905. We sang at the exposition. </p><p> 1919 drove Commerce Truck to Yellowstone Park, made another visit to park in 1937.</p> In 1935 drove to California to get Lewis, went through Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Sequoiia, Grant and Yosemite National Parks, visited Boulder Dam, Lake Arrow Head and Lake Tahoe. We visited San Diego exposition at Long Beach, visited a battleship Lexington, the largest aereoplane carrier in the United States Fleet. Crossed under the Great Bridge at San Francisco and drove into Mexico to Tiawana.
