Randy Anderson</p></p><p><p>Disposition: ErathGardens of Memory</p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Ruth Stephens Carr, February 27, 1925 to February 8, 2015</p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Stephenville: Ruth Stephens Carr passed away on the evening of Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Stephenville, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Lacy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Erath Gardensof Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2105 at Lacy Funeral Home.</p><p><p></p></p><p><p>She was born on February 27, 1925 to A.O. "Tug" Stephens and Mattie Salisbury Stephens in the Lone Oak Community southwest of Stephenville. On August 6, 1941, Ruth married Raymond Stephen Carr, a ranch manager. Over the years, the family lived in West Texas,Georgia, the San Antonio area, and DeLeon, before retiring to Stephenville in 1985. Mr. Carr passed away in 2007 after 65 years of marriage. Although she occasionally worked as a clerk and nursing assistant, Ruth was proudest of her role as a homemaker and mother, with her cooking being something which brought enjoyment to herself and others. She was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church.</p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Ruth is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sanders of Sylvania, Georgia; son Jerry L. Carr of Kea'au, Hawaii; granddaughters, Angela Bolduc and Julie Snow; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Quinn Hulsey and Alyssa and Greg Romero.</p><p></p>
