He was the 4th of 5 children born to Doctor William Jenningsand Rhoda Lowell Wiley.</p><p>He married Polly Victoria Barnett in September 1835 or 1836, apparently in Tennessee. They had 14 children together. It appears that about 9 of these children lived toadulthood. This marriage may have ended in divorce.</p><p>The Jennings family joined the Mormon Church in late 1847 or early 1848 in Tennessee. They wanted to come west to join the Saints, which they did.</p><p>They joined the Heber C. Kimball company and traveled to the Salt Lake Valley in 1848. </p><p>After arriving in Utah, the Jennings first settled in Provo, Utah. In the spring of 1851 they moved to San Bernardino, California along with other Saints who were called to settle there. Some of these other families included the Nathan Cram Tenney family and the Benjamin Franklin Taylor family.</p><p>The Jennings were called back to Utah in 1857, along with other families to help counter the threat posed by the arrival of Johnston's Army. They initially made it as far as the Cedar City area, where they settled for a while. Their final child was born in Cedar City.</p><p>The family then moved to the Utah County area and finally settled in Levan in Juab County. In the 1860 census they were in Springville and in the 1870 census they were in Levan.</p><p>The Law of Plural Marriage was practiced in the Mormon Church at the time. Schuyler may have had plural wives. The names of possible wives include Lydia Harrington, Ann Sherwood, Rebecca Jennings, and Salome Jennings.. We are not sure if these marriages actually took place or if Schuyler actually lived with any of these women. </p><p>There appear to be no children from any of these women.</p>Schuyler died on June 9, 1878 in Levan.
