<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">Havre Daily News (MT), 19 July 1955<br /><br />Frank Kubitza, Retired Great Northern Railway Employee Dies<br /><br />Frank Kubitza, a retired railroad section foreman and roadmaster, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday at a local hospital. <br /><br />Mr. Kubitaza was born Nov. 2, 1875 at Oppein, Germany. He came with his father and four sisters from Germany in 1877 toBrowerville, Minn. He was married on Aug. 28, 1898 to Susan Wieshalla at Browerville. As the Great Northern Railway moved west, he migrated with it as section foreman and roadmaster. He made his homeat Coburg and Hinsdale, and retired in 1939. At that time he moved to Havre to make his home. He also farmed for a time at Coburg on land he had homesteaded in 1910 and worked for the railroad duringthe period of the Fort Peck dam construction.<br /><br />Surviving him besides his wife, residing at 815 Third street, are four sons, John, Havre; Robert, Cinook; Samuel and Edward, Savoy; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Three children preceding him in death were Mary (Mrs. Ike Reynolds), Dorothy (Mrs. John Martin), and Thomas. Two sisters survive him, Mrs. Charles Davis, Cut Bank, and Mrs. Paul Cech, Browerville, Minn.<br /><br />He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Knights of Columbus. </p>
