<p>"Funeral services for Mrs. Sophia Kate Eyman, wife of Stanley Eyman, who died at her home northeast of Versailles, March 21, at the age of 70 years, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at Prairie View church. The last rites were conducted by Rev. Jim Mohler of Leeton, who was assisted by Rev. Albrecht, pastor of Bethel Mennonite church.

<p>A double quartet sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", "Goodnight Here and Good Morning Up There", and "Near to the Heart of God". Flowers were carried by Mrs. Sam Lehman, Mrs. Herbert Aeschbacher, Mrs. Cyril Ferguson, Mrs. Andrew Gilbert, Mrs. Ernest Shepp, and Mrs. Jim McLennon. The pallbearers were K. R. Lehman, Sam Lehman, Dan Garber, Warren Lehman, Rufus Hofstetter and Herbert Aeschbacher.

<p>Sophia Kate Cline was the youngest of the three children of Daniel and Ruth Cline and was born in Morgan county March 8, 1877. She grew to womanhood in Missouri and, after completing her education,devoted five years to educational work in Kansas. December 21, 1910, she became the wife of Stanley Eyman and to that union were born three daughters and one son. The son, Thomas Daniel, died in infancy. Mrs. Eyman was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and John Cline.

<p>Early in life she became a member of the Church of the Brethren and devoted much of her time and effort to the work of the church until her failing health would no longer permit her active participation.</p>
<p></p>
<p>She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Ruth (Mrs. A. A. Ferguson) of Lee's Summit; Merle (Mrs. Alfred Kraxberger) of Stover; and Ruby (Mrs. Wm. Green) of Belton. Also surviving are five grandchildren, three nephews and a niece.</p>

<p>Interment was in Prairie View cemetery.</p>
