<p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">Sean O'Brien Lynch (84) passed away peacefully at his home in Farmington, March 28, 2016. He was born November 25, 1931 in Hartford, CT to Edwardand Mary Theresa O'Brien Lynch, both of County Kerry, Ireland. He is the second of six children. As a teen he attended St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, CT. As he left us who love him he was greetedby his parents, sweet wife Caroline and all who he did temple work for. When his father passed away in 1942, he took the lead in providing for his family as best he could.</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">In 1950 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was an aircraft mechanic on cargo planes and attained the rank of Staff Sargent. He regularly told everyone that he fought the Korean War in Saudi Arabia. After his Air Force service he attended Hillyer College (now University of Hartford) and lager completed his Bachelors degree and MBA through the University of Phoenix. He spent most of his professional career as a commercial property and casualty insurance underwriter in Texas, CT, Illinois and Utah.</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">He married Caroline E Hirth on June 1, 1957 in CT. They moved to Texas in 1960. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1963 and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1965.</span><brstyle="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">He spent over 54 years actively involved in the scouting program, including many years as an adult leader and Order of the Arrow advisor continuously doing his best to assist young men in their own scouting journey.</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">After Caroline's death in 2002 he remarried Gladys Madsen on September 2, 2003. Together they served a temple mission at the Washington DC Temple from May 2006 &ndash; May 2007. He also served in the Bountiful Temple many years before and after their mission.</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">His many hobbies included coin and stamp collecting, collecting scouting memorabilia, family history, photography and jigsaw puzzles. he excelled in all of them. He also loved his Diet Coke.</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">He is loyal to his Irish ancestry, as he is a thoroughbred Irishman and loved all things Irish. His greatest joy is his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Edward John, his younger brother Edward Patrick, a younger sister Helen, and his first wife Caroline.</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">He is &ldquo;doing pretty good for an old man of 21&rdquo;!</span><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;">He is survived by his wife Gladys, his sonRichard (Brenda), of Bountiful and daughter Allison (Tony) Testa, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and 7 grand children and 6 great-grand children.
