Jemima (Walker) died before James and their children ElizaandWilliam emigrated to Australia. Margaret Colston (neeMcPhail)was also on the ship, she and James were married on IJuly 1852,in London . Jemima is listed on the 1841 (6 June)census as'Beimey'. At first I (Jennifer Crockett) thought thiswas anerror, but have since been told (2006) by David Thompson,a Scot& researcher I met at th e AIGS, that he had a relativefrom theEdinbur gh area who was named Jemima but was calledBina. Hesaid Beimey and Memma were also used for Jemima. Jemimais onthe 1851 English census as Bemme. She d ied later that sameyearin London.
