Ursprünglich in Königsberg,folgte dann seiner Mutter und seiner
Schwester Anna Christina, die einen Pfarrer aus Kowno geheiratet
hatte, nach Kowno.
In Kowno betrieb er ein Handelshaus mit Holz, Flachs und anderen
Landeserzeugnissen und eröffnete wohl schon bald ein Kontor in
Memel. Er erwarb ein beträchliches Vermögen und war der Gründer
des Handelhauses Frentzel später Frentzel + Beyme
