[Bill's Nutt.FTW] Soon after his marriage, by Deed dated 14 February 1798, Abraham bought 200 acres of land in Carter Co., TN, October 4, 1802 he sold 87 acres of land on Still's branch on the south side of Buffalo Creek, to John Daniel who was father of Noah Daniel. About 1805, Abraham, with all his children and grand children, except for Robert who came 2 years later in 1807, moved to Smith County, TN and located on Caney Fork some 3 miles from what is now Carthage, TN. From "Cemetery Records of Bedford County, TN, by Marsh, page 43: Clark Cemetery, Liberty Gap loc. North of Bellbuckle, TN: "From Cooper Records of Mrs. Ralph A. Bigham, Abraham Cooper (no marker)_ b. ??? m. Miss Browning about 1775 in Virginia. His wife died in Carter County, TN. He came to Bedford County after 1812 from Smith County, TN (a rev. soldier)" Note: Sarah, Jane, William, Robert and Charles came with him to Bedord County. James came in 1820.
