| Theobald Walter (manchmal auch Theobald FitzWalter, Theobald Butler oder Theobald Walter le Boteler) war der erste Chief Butler von Irland. Er bekleidete auch das Amt des Chief Butler von England undwar 1194 High Sheriff von Lancashire. [3] Theobald war der erste, der den Nachnamen Butler der irischen Butler-Familie verwendete. Er war an den irischen Feldzügen von König Heinrich II. von Englandund Johann von England beteiligt. Sein ältester Bruder Hubert Walter wurde Erzbischof von Canterbury und Justiciar und Lordkanzler von England. |
