NOTE: Keats-Rohan's DP has a Domesday tenant called Bagot, p. 160, ofwhom she says that this bato's son Hervé and his descendantsused the surname Bagot. She also said that Wrottesley haswritten a "History of theBagot family" in the HistoryCollection of Staffs, n.s. Vol XI of 1908 and she refers to CPXII(1), pp. 168-177.In 1166 CP (p. 170) says he held3 knights fees of Robert deStafford though in note (b) on that page, they express doubtswhether it was the husband of Millicent who held those fees orhis father. If it was him, he would ahave been around 50 atmarriage to Millicent, a tad old; so I'll put his father in.The descent from Domesday's Bagot is incontrovertible. But theprecise generations of this descent are not 100% clear. So I'veput in two Hervey Bagod's ashis ancestors as this looks aboutright and accords with CP's and K-R'sfindings._________________________________________________________
