Tübingen 10.6.1546 ("Jacobus Kalberus Tubingensis"); des Gerichts in Tübingen; "Jacob was active in Tübingen civic life, serving as Bauverwalter (building supervisor), Richter (magistrate) and Burgermeister. He was a member of the Württemberg Landtag (parliament) the last twenty years of his life. In the Landtag he was a member of the Kleiner Ausschuss (Inner Council) that was much like a cabinet working with the Chancellor (who was his cousin, Martin Aichmann). Jacob and his brother, Georg, were also appointed to the commission to revise the Land Rechte, in 1606, but he died before that work was completed"
