Anthony Frederick "Tony" Sarg of new York was an illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, etc. He was author of children's books, puppeteer (who designed the large animal balloons long used in Macy'sThanksgiving Day Parades.
Artist, Illustrator, Writer, Animator and Puppeteer. Following his early days in Guatemala, Tony moved with his family to Germany in 1887, where he completed his education and served for a time in the German army.After his marriage to Bertha McGowan, the remainder of his life was spent in the United States and England.
