<p>DANIEL LEISCHNER</p><p>Daniel Leischner's marriage to Fannie Belle Taylor was arranged by a friend of her father. Daniel was 39; she was 16. Daniel was small in stature and bald. He was a Germanimmigrant and spoke with an accent. Daniel and other members of his family came to Archer County from a northern state (North Dakota) to homestead. Fannie and Daniel were married April 23, 1910 atthe Wichita County Courthouse. They lived in a small two-room house in Archer City. Daniel left Archer City in July 1910, and Fannie never saw him again. </p><p>Daniel married a second time and hada red-haired daughter by the name of Ruth. After her mother was killed by a train she was sent back to her maternal grandparents to raise. </p>Daniel was a talented painter. He could draw or painta person's picture so you would think that you were looking in a mirror. He would paint anything from portraits to store front signs.
