<p>GOTTLIEB TIEDE, 52, FORMER LEGISLATOR, BURIED TUESDAY</p><p><p>Gottlieb Tiede, 52, passed away Sunday following an operation in a Mitchell hospital.</p></p><p><p>Funeral services were held Tuesdayafternoon, October 1, at the high school auditorium with the Rev. Rueben Koehlor of the Congregational church officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. J. Thaden, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Mitchell and Rev. E. Gutjahr of McCook, Nebraska.</p><p><p>Pallbearers were six of his nephews, Elmer Winter, Oscar Hasz, Harrison Brosz, Ernest Tiede, Milton Tiede and Norman Winter.</p></p><p><p>Mr. Tiede was active in local and state affairs and served as State Representative for Hutchinson County for two terms at Pierre.</p></p><p><p>Gottlieb Tiede, son of Simon and Lydia Tiede, was born on a farm near Parkston on January 28, 1894. He grew to manhood in this community and was married to Nettie Schmeling, October 24, 1917, at Edgerton, Wisconsin. The Tiede and their family retired from their farm in March 1945, and moved to Mitchell, where they have made their home.</p><p><p>Survivors are his widow and three children, Eldeen, Sioux Falls, Florence and Gilman of Mitchell: Three Brothers, Nathaniel, Alfred and Gottfried all of Tripp: four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hasz, Wessington Springs, Mrs. Martha Winter, Alpena, Mrs. Emma Winter, Parkston, and Mrs. Ruth Brosz, Tripp.</p><p>Our oftown relatives attending the funeral serves were Neil Schmeling, Mrs. Clara Wohman and Mrs. Leon Fuhrman of Edgerton, Wisc., Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Winter and family and Mrs. Mary Hasz and family of Wessington Springs, Mrs. Ruben Brost and daughter of Aberdeen, Mrs. Glenwood Johnson, Huron: Mrs. Francis Olson, Bellvue, Nebr.: Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Gardner, Mitchell: Rev. and Mrs. E. Gutjahr, McCook, Neb.: and Mr.
