<p>Mutter Anna Feldhahn, geb. Schiewe, war sehr musikalisch, sang im Chor, spielte Mundharmonika, tanzte gut. Hörte jeden Fehler unseres Klavierspiels. Immer adrett gekleidet, aber nicht eitel wie der Vater. Eltern früh verloren. Vormund war ihr Onkel Karl Schiewe, Amts- und Gemeindevorsteher (Anm.: von Manschnow, Krs. Lebus, Oderbruch, Brandenburg). Grossmutter von ihr, die 4 Waisen aufzog, verkaufte Bettwäsche bis Berlin, wurde über 80 Jahre alt. Sagte, "ist der Handel noch so klein, bringt er mehr als Arbeit ein."</p><p>(Handschriftlicher Vermerk ihrer Tochter Irmgard Backmann, geb. Feldhahn, ohne Datum.)</p>
